THE UHD ALLIANCE JOINS THE MALAGA 4K FEST AND DELIVERS THE AWARD FOR THE BEST UHD SHORT FILM

UHDA Chairman, Michael Zink will present the award at the virtual ceremony to be held on November 20, 2020.

The UHD Alliance, a global alliance composed of the world’s leading consumer electronics manufacturers, film and television studios, content distributors and technology companies, joins the fifth edition of the Malaga 4K Fest, organized by Medina Media Events, in collaboration with Festival de Málaga.

Its Chairman, Michael Zink, will deliver the award in a virtual ceremony taking place November 20, 2020. The ceremony enables virtual attendees to meet the 7 winners of the Malaga 4K Fest 2020 and also watch their short films.

The UHD Alliance, created in 2015, established performance criteria for UHD content and television to offer consumers the best possible experience. Most recently, the organization collaborated with numerous award-winning directors to develop Filmmaker Mode, a TV viewing mode offered on Hisense, LG, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung and Vizio TV’s designed to preserve and present the filmmakers creative intent in the home viewing environment.

In addition to the winner of the UHD Alliance award for best UHD short film, Malaga will also announce the winner of the ADM Group award for best short film, the ATRESERIES award for best television short film, the RTVE award for best film school short film, the DOLBY/BEST DIGITAL award for best sound, the award for best photography and the MEDINA MEDIA 4K award for best director

Free registration is now open at www.malaga4kfest.com to attend the ceremony and the virtual screening on November 20th from 11:00 to 13:30 CET. There will be a second broadcast from 11:00 to 13:30 PST (from 20:00 to 22:30 CET).
